How to reach us, and how to ask for a domain report to be corrected.

One address, read by a person: [email protected]. There is no contact form, because a form here would only send the same email while collecting more about you than the message needs.

How to reach us

Write to [email protected]. Expect a reply within a few working days. Please write in English or French.

Put the domain in the subject line if your message is about one — it is the fastest way to get to the right report.

Correcting a report

Reports are produced automatically, so they can be wrong. To get one looked at, include:

  • the exact domain, as it appears in the report URL;
  • which signal you believe is wrong — the score itself is a consequence, not a cause;
  • what the correct information is, and anything that shows it.

Before writing, try the Re-run analysis button on the report. Much of what looks wrong is simply stale: a certificate has since been renewed, a WHOIS record has been corrected, a site has come back online. A fresh scan takes a few seconds and often settles it.

Removal requests

A report is a factual record of public technical signals — registration dates, certificate issuers, DNS records, whether a page responds. LegitSonar does not remove a report because its subject dislikes the score.

What it will do is correct anything inaccurate, promptly and without argument, and re-run the analysis so the record reflects the site as it stands today. If you believe a report contains personal data that should not be published, say so explicitly and see the privacy policy — that is a different request and it is handled differently.

Reporting a scam

If you have found a site that is defrauding people, the most useful thing you can do here is run it through the scanner — that puts it on the record with a timestamp. Send anything the scanner cannot see (screenshots, message threads, payment details you were asked for) to the address above.

LegitSonar is not a law-enforcement body and cannot recover money. If you have lost funds, report it to your bank first and then to the police or consumer-protection body in your country; they can act, and this site cannot.

Data protection

For access, correction or erasure of personal data, write to [email protected] with "data protection" in the subject. The privacy policy sets out what is held and for how long — it is short, because very little is.

Security issues

If you have found a vulnerability in this site, please report it to the address above before disclosing it publicly, and give a reasonable window for a fix. Proof-of-concept details are welcome; please do not test in a way that degrades the service for other people or touches data that is not yours.
